WeChat Partners Two Nigerian Startups, To Help Them Grow And Reach More Customers

WeChat , a leading social communication platform has
announced a unique partnership with two Nigerian
startups to help them grow and gain access to its
fast-growing audience.

Through the partnership, the startups – Pass.ng and
Traclist, will offer various discounts to customers/
users who use its services on WeChat.

Traclist.com , an online fashion marketplace, will provide a
more personalized and customized user experience
and also give up to 10% discount to users that buy
through its official account on WeChat on their first
order.

For Pass.ng, an examination preparatory and testing
platform, it will offer one month free subscription for
users that subscribe via its official account on
WeChat during the period of this partnership.

At a press briefing in Lagos, Regional Manager for
West Africa, Mr Idemudia Dima-Okojie said, "With the
launch of these services, WeChat is creating a vibrant
ecosystem with different services that are of value for
WeChat users,"

He added, "While messaging is at the heart of WeChat,
we are creating a platform that goes beyond simply
instant messaging, a platform that provides a set of
functionality ranging from service delivery and
transactions, product discovery, customer relationship
management, e-commerce, media distribution and much
more."

In the coming weeks, WeChat will be launching two
exclusive offers which it claims will take the Nigerian
startup story to the next level.

Traclist.com and Pass.ng were among the 10 startups that
were chosen during the WeChat AfricaBeta Ideathon
which took place in October 2015 in partnership with
TechCabal.com , a Nigerian technology blog.
